Community Guidelines

Dostie is built on real conversations and genuine connections. These guidelines explain how we expect everyone in our community to behave.

Our Community Values

Dostie connects people through chat, audio calls, and video calls so they can build real friendships. To keep that experience safe and enjoyable for everyone, all users — including hosts and listeners — must follow these Community Guidelines whenever they use the app.

1. Be Respectful

Treat every person you interact with on Dostie with courtesy and respect. We do not tolerate:

Harassment, bullying, or threats of any kind
Hate speech or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, disability, or age
Abusive, demeaning, or hostile language during chats or calls
Repeated unwanted contact after a user has asked you to stop

2. Be Authentic

Dostie works because people are genuine with each other. You must:

Use accurate information when creating your profile
Use your own photos — not images of other people, celebrities, or content you don't have rights to use
Never impersonate another person, host, or Dostie staff member
Never create multiple or duplicate accounts to mislead other users

3. Prohibited Content & Behavior

The following are strictly prohibited on Dostie and may result in immediate account action:

Nudity, sexually explicit content, or solicitation of sexual services
Content involving or sexualizing minors in any way (see our Child Safety Standards)
Violence, gore, or content that promotes self-harm
Scams, fraud, phishing links, or requests for money outside the app
Spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotion of third-party platforms
Sharing another person's private information without consent (doxxing)
Illegal activity, including the sale of drugs, weapons, or counterfeit goods

4. Guidelines for Hosts

Hosts represent Dostie and are held to a higher standard of conduct:

Keep all conversations respectful, friendly, and appropriate
Never request personal financial information or payments outside the app
Do not direct users to other messaging apps or platforms
Maintain accurate profile photos and information at all times

5. Keep Your Account Secure

You are responsible for activity on your account. Do not share your login credentials, and report any suspicious account activity immediately.

6. Reporting Violations

If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please use the in-app reporting tools. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team and handled confidentially.

7. Enforcement

Violating these Community Guidelines may result in:

Removal of content
Warnings or temporary restrictions
Suspension or permanent termination of your account
Reporting to law enforcement where required by law

The severity of enforcement depends on the nature of the violation. Serious violations — especially those involving minors, violence, or illegal activity — may result in immediate and permanent account termination.
